How to Participate in the RERF Silent Auction

Welcome to the RERF Silent Auction Platform! This step-by-step guide will walk you through every part of the auction process — from registration to final checkout — to ensure your experience is smooth and successful.

👤 1. Register or Log In

Register (New Users)

  1. From the Homepage, Click on the LOGIN/REGISTER button at the top of the page, and click the “CREATE AN ACCOUNT” link.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Click Register.
  4. Check your email for a link to set your password.

Log In (Returning Users)

  1. From the Homepage, Click on the LOGIN/REGISTER button at the top of the page.
  2. Enter your email/username and password.
  3. Click Log In.

 

📂 2. Browse Available Auction Items

Option A: Use the Homepage

  • Visit the Home page.
  • Scroll through Featured Items.
  • Click Bid Now to open a product.

Option B: View All Items

  • Click Browse All Items.
  • Filter by category.

 

⚖️ 3. View Auction Details & Place a Bid

  1. Select an auction item.
  2. View the current bid and countdown timer.
  3. Enter your bid amount:
    • Exact minimum bid = regular bid.
    • Higher bid = activates proxy bidding.
  4. Click Bid.
  5. You will see a notification at the bottom of the screen that you’ve successfully placed a bid.

 

⏳ 4. Monitor Your Bid

  • Scroll down to the Auction History on the item page
  • You will see:
    • Your bids
    • Competing bids
  • “Auto” will appear beside the bidder’s name in the auction history if the bidder enters their maximum willing amount. The system will auto-bid in increments until your max is reached.
  • You can return to the same page anytime to check updates.

 

🛒 5. Checkout If You Win

If you win an auction, you’ll receive an email that says:

You have won the auction!
Congratulations. You have won the auction for “Item Name“. Your bid was: “$XXX.00”.
Please click on this link to pay for your auction payment

Clicking the payment link will automatically:

  • Add the item to your cart
  • Redirect you to the checkout page

At checkout:

  1. Confirm item and price.
  2. Fill in billing and payment info.
  3. Click Place Order to complete your purchase.

 

🧠 Tips for Bidders

  • You only need to bid once if using Proxy Bidding — the system will handle it for you.
  • Set reminders for auctions you’re interested in.
  • Items with a Reserve Price must meet the minimum to be awarded.
  • You’ll receive email updates if you’re outbid or if you win!
